Conforming

Conforming /kənˈfôrm ing/ Definition: behave according to socially acceptable conventions or standards

Over the years I’ve felt the need to conform in certain environments so that I would be perceived as non-threatening and friendly, so that I could be accepted and gain the approval of people. Conforming is a ridiculous notion when it comes at the cost of sacrificing one’s real self. Trying to “fit-in” so badly only to turn myself upside down and sideways not realizing how silly I look.
